“For
the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.”
(Titus 2:11)
“You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will
bestow.” (Isaiah 62: 2b)
“The Spirit himself testifies with our Spirit that we are God’s
children” (Romans 8:16).
“[Grace] teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions
and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present
age while we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory
of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2: 12-13).
Grace of God – new name – “God’s children” – live godly lives –
wait for the hope - Jesus Christ.
The grace of God tells us our identity, our new name – “God’s children.”
Therefore, we live godly lives and we wait for our hope which is
in Jesus Christ.”
This is how we can begin the new year – embracing the grace of God
given for us, living out our identity – knowing who we are as children
of God, living lives that glorify God, and waiting for our hope.
Our hope is in Christ.
I invite you to do this in the new year. If you do, I believe your
year and your life will be filled with God’s grace, hope, and joy.
See you at church.
God bless you,
Pat
