Wonderful Wednesday
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all of you who helped make our
Christmas Dinner and Play such a success! …And how about our children?
Weren’t they absolutely wonderful? I am so proud of them. They worked
so
hard rehearsing and really took to heart that they were sharing
the message of
Christ’s birth, maybe even to some who hadn’t really listened to
it before.
Our theme for the next 5 weeks is “Gridiron Gospel.” We will explore
being
on “God’s Team,” participate in Faithful Fitness activities, make
healthy snacks
(Fitness Food?!), create some cheers, develop our “Play Book,” write
our favorite
Bible verse on our eye black, and finish with a Flag Football Game
on
Wednesday, February 1.
As part of this, we will have a Serving with Socks Competition,
where each
week the children will bring a (new) pair of socks to give to the
Homeless
Ministry at the church. We will keep track of how many pairs of
socks each
child has brought. When the football teams are chosen for the “Big
Game,” the
team that has the most pairs of socks collected will start off with
a 7 point lead!
Parents, your child can start bringing socks January 4, and remember,
you are
always welcome to come watch or share in the fun.

Kid’s
Sunday School Classes
Our
Kid's Sunday School Classes will once again combine for the summer.
This gives all our fabulous teachers a well deserved and needed
break over the summer – thank you all so much for all you've
done for the kids this year!! We have also found that with
all the wonderful family vacations throughout the summer months,
we don't need to have 4 classes meeting. All ages 3 years through
5 th grades will meet together each Sunday and be taught by Martha.
So enjoy your summer vacations and your family time together and
when you are in town, please come see me at Sunday School!!!!
